+1 Bingo!
Me for example: All I wanted was 300 but it was cheaper to make 400 with a blower. Then I blew my engine. Then it was just a plain rebuild....$8,000 later I've got a 600rwhp (ish) car sitting in my garage collecting dust because it's too fast and I should have had more realistic goals for the type of driver/racer I am.

then you get to the point you are at and lord help you if you look back at the spending history!!!

Hi everyone, i have an 04 mustang gt with regular bolt ons, 75mm TB, Plenum, Pulleys, 3.73 Gears, Full exhaust, Diablo tuner, air intake, 150 shot of nitrous. So here is the big question, what cam do you goes recommend??? i dont want to change the valve springs on the heads, i just want a cam where i can just bolt on and not tune. ive heard that compa cams 1 is a good one to go with. Help me out guys, really apreciate your replies. thanks

As one of my brothers in arms says, "Look at all the fastest 2v, they're all running CMS cams.". There are way more people on this site with CMS cams than HiTech. I don't doubt their a good cam, their just not the best.

Lol I was thinking the same thing , thats what I call learning things the hard way. 'OP' IMPO I like Hitech cams , For the kind of driving I will be doing (Not straight line) and until I save up enough money for my dream 2v build, Hitech stage ones will be all I need. Look at what kind of driving your gonna be doing and then research a cam for you , Call Jim Cushman , Comp , Hitech , Vodoo cams people and see what they say. Of course they will all recommend there cams but thats where google comes in.

dont cheap out on the valve springs. you can usually get a good deal if you but the cam with the matching springs and most cams sold by major cam manufacturers recommend u change your spring to get the most of the cam especially if you have a hi mileage engine. it is also a lot easier to do it once the cam is out. good luck.

yeah its hard to teach an old dog new tricks but fact are facts. Hitech will produce better results with stock heads and thats a fact.
there are a lot of guys here thats been doing this along time including myself.
but hey we all dont have to like the same things thats what keeps the world going around........
