theres probably not even a chip in your car, most people that say that are lure'ing people like you into buying the car with fake or outstanding claims, just for future reference so in the future no one sells you a delorean and tells you it can travel through time with the custom chip thats in it. just trying to help you out, dont ever believe something is in a car unless you can see it and/or theres reciepts for it.

but anyways, if you REALLY want a tuner call your local shops and find out what tuners they use. in the event you do some real mods to your car and need a dyno tune you will already have their tuner rather than having to buy another one. when a shop dyno tunes your car they save the tune to the handheld so in the event your battery dies or whatever, you still have your tune.

And 245-250 is generous IMO also just to give you a better idea where your sitting. full boltons with longtubes will net around 265rwhp for a 5speed GT depending on the tune, and the majority of that power gained was from the longtube headers. stock a 5speed will put 220-225 down if i remember right. automatics are a little less than that. so with an intake and catback your at maybe 230.

I would not recommend the commando tuning software, with some of that stuff, you really need to know your stuff.

+1 on calling your local dyno tuning shops. The ones around my area use the SCT brand - if I were smart I would have done exactly what I'm advising you to do. Listen to (well some of) the people on here and It'll save you both money and buyer's remorse.
