a handheld tuner only gets you in the ballpark, if you take your car to a good tuner you will have a tune thats custom for your car and where you live at and get the air/fuel at the right spot.

I have a "handheld" tuner and I could easily tune for a nitrous shot.. EFI is not unbeatable.. you dont have to go to someone to tune your car for you. hell even with a steeda timing adjuster you could make your car safe.
If his car was going to blow up from a bad tune it would have already happened after 7+months.

Yup.. All you would need is 4* timing adjustability to pull enough timing for a 175shot.. most ppl go by 2* per 100shot..
I dont know of any handheld that couldnt at least do that. Like I said earlier, after 7 months if his tune was an issue his motor would have given out already.

Don't know much about N2O, but these parts are enough for a dyno tune unless you have a A/F gauge.

taking a wild guess at timing and a/f with a diablo hand held tuner is a major gamble...period.
the most ide ever run without tuning the car properly, is 100shot wet

You can use a hand held tune to make the necessary adjustments, but it's not nearly as precise as a custom tune...period!
Some people can get away with things, and others don't, but why take a gamble...especially at a 150 + shot. If i were running a 150 or higher (which i never would on the stock shortblock) i would have the very best custom dyno tune available.
