17x9's are for babies mommas. Even my wife has 18x9.5. My car has 18x10

A 9" wheel is still not going to come anywhere near the fender to fill that gaudy gap because of the wide quarters on our cars. (Unless you run spacers but that's another whole set of issues.)

Maybe he's like me and wants to save on tire cost, plus have the ability to rotate your tires.

If your going to run 17's do 17x10.5 DD out back with the 17x9 regular up front. F@ck 17x9's on all 4's.

well. when money is an issue having 17x10.5 out back and 17x9 in front just isnt economical. alot of people on these forums think that we all have tons of cash to just throw at our cars. im a college student and i blew 3/4 of my college fund on my stang (lol) so how am i or others who dont have alot of green going to buy wheels that are bigger which require bigger tires. with that scenario, you cant rotate your tires and it costs more too

well, when money is an issue you don't buy new wheels. period.

compromises in mods is stupid. you can either afford it, or you can't.

17x9 all the way around is the best way to go IMO. cheap tires, all tires rotate and you get balanced handling from having tires with equal contact patches.

I can certainly understand the logic but if logic caused me to buy a car I'd own a completely stock Toyota/Saab with 300k miles.

Maybe you need to get a job. I am a college student and work 40hrs a week also. Sure I may sacrifice maybe not getting alot of sleep or hanging out with friends sometimes, but I have 2 nice *** cars.

im also a college student. i don't work at the moment though because free time with my friends is much more important to me than a car. these are some of the last years to do crazy **** and have a great time. i don't want to look back on college and think about all of the moments i missed out on because i was working to mod a car. i can have my badass car when i graduate in a few years. not to mention ill be able to do it without going broke at the same time.
