2001 cobra or 2004 gt

Jesus, your car only has 3X,000 miles and a clean title, and you want to trade it straight up for a 8x,000 mile Cobra that has a rebuilt title?
Are you nuts? Is EVERYONE else in here nuts?
The bottom end of that Cobra as far as I know, is not much stronger than the bottom end on the GT. A blower and the supporting mods puts you around 4500 or so dollars and you're running 12's with a car that has around 1/3rd the mileage of the Cobra.
I don't know, it's your money and your car, but I'd hold onto the GT instead of a likely abused Cobra.

The real question you need to ask is why is the person that is trying to trade you doing this. If the car is nothing wrong with the car they would be making a step backwards as for as the car goes. A Cobra has better brakes, engine,Ride quality, interior. Sorry this trade makes no sense on the Cobra owner part. But that is my .02 Rebuilt titles do not scare me because I know the shop probably put it back together better than any UAW employee's ever first put it together

Ah, good point old guy :-)
It seems like an awfully good deal at first (to some people, not me) to get the Cobra for the GT straight up, but something has to be motivating the Cobra owner to be on the other end of that trade.
But yes, as I said earlier, and others have said as well, keep the low mileage GT and learn how to drive it. If you're bored, you've got LOTS of time to choose to supercharge it. *after all, you're adding a second income into the family, and if she's your wife, she will understand your desire for a S/C'ed GT*

If you owned nothing and were looking at the two cars... I would say pass on both and find a cobra in better condition. Since you already own the GT, pass on that cobra and if you really have to have one.... find one with lower miles that is not salvaged.
