Default offset steering rack bushings

hey guys, quick question. i'm going to be installing BBK polyurithane offset steering rack bushings in an attempt to move my steering rack so that it stops making contact with my headers. three questions:

1) will this have any negative effects on my car being that it isn't lowered?

2) will i need to re-align the car after installing these?

3) the directions werent clear on installing them. which way should they be installed, the first pic or the second?

or

And you shouldn't need a re alignment but see how it drives and adjust from there. There is no real negative.

They may affect toe-in a tiny bit, probably not enough to matter unless it was already near one of the extremes...
