Default spacers?

heres what im looking at:

8.8 rearend for 79-93 mustang 5 lug 31 spline axles ,31 spline ford racing carrier,4.10 frpp gears, trick flow girdle with arp $550

this rearend is about 1 3/8 shorter on each side. could i run spacers to make up the difference and be ok? is this rearend worth the price?

I think it is a bad idea to run such a thick spacer.

I run a 1/2" one and have installed longer/stronger studs for safety. I recommend you just look into getting wheels with close to a 0mm off-set, but will be HARD to find. If you go with Centerline wheels you can have them made to your specs so they will fit properly, so I would recommend that.
