Default stripped spark plug cylinder threads

I was leaving the DMV because i had just picked up my new custom license plates reading "slo 4 6", when heard a loud BOOM! followed by what sounded like a really bad exhaust leak. i pulled over and popped the hood and saw that the number 6 coil pack was way outta place and i could feel warm air coming out from there. the car probably thought ill show you "slo" ****.. well i bought the extended warranty on the car so ford has had it for a week now and i dont think i will have it back by tonight which means i wont be able to run @ the street legal drags tomorrow =/

nope, plugs are only to be toqured 7-8 ft-lbs, over tighting is the normal cause.

7-8 lb/ft is too little and risks their backing out--the spec is 11 lb/ft, most plug manufacturers say 11-13 lb/ft...

From the '03 service manual:

put some loc-tight on it and will never have this problem again. JK DONT DO THAT. Its going to happen again thats just the way mustangs work, unless you get after market heads.

I guess it is a slo-4.6 now......Did you ever change the spark plugs or are they stock? Just curious if it was human error or they really just backed out by themselves.
