1. nitrous setup, properly done, is not $400

2. 450rwhp isnt even safe, let alone more than that

guy i know just blew up a turbo cobra... 99 cobra, it was pushing 9psi making 526/550, and was tuned by one of the best tuners in the state, guy has tuned almost every fast car in this area...and the extra flow from 4vs makes them more forgiving...your 2v will meet its fate as well

DESTRUCTION PHOTOS, very graphic

#3

#4 I have not pulled the piston out yet

I guess this is what a motor will do to a piston/rod when its around 6000-6500 and something not good happens

on top of a nitrous "kit" you need

gauges
remote opener
bottle warmer
wot switch
blow down tube
progressive controller (for big shots)
and im sure other things im overlooking at the moment

a proper nitrous setup will run about $1k - $1.5k

This thread is so full of fail......

$400 for a complete, safe, done right nitrous setup? Keep dreamin bud.

Since when do New Edge superchargers cost $7,500(5 times the cost of nitrous)? I'm picking up a KB for $4,000 I guess i'm full of **** huh?

Please....for the love of god.....no more "well man if u got ur tune right man you could run 450 and sum to the wheels no prob lol! Its all in the tune man just get your A/F rite and its lol ok lol! trust me my friend's 3rd cousin runs 500 to the wheels on stock bottom end ur fine" comments. Its seriously stupid and old. Stop telling people to do something with their engine that you would never, ever try, let alone come close to accomplishing.

i really wouldnt ever want to run my stock bottom end past like 425rwhp really. I mean with a turbo car you can do a little bit more than supercharged cars because the actual rwhp isnt a direct representation of the actual horsepower because the blower takes away a few horsepower due to the belt drive. So you might be ok with 10-20 more rwhp than a s/c'd car but i would never take the stock block to 450rwhp. Keep it to like 6-8lbs and no more. And i'd just go with a hellion kit. It comes with full stainless piping, turbo, fuel upgrades and injectors and maf, and youre pretty much set with the power making stuff. All you gotta do is the supporting mods to put the power down.
