Default Kill Switches...

Hey guys, do any of you have kill switches in your car? I'm moving into an area that is making me consider putting a kill switch in my car because it sticks out like a sorethumb. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions?

Just make sure it cuts off main ecu power and is not located anywhere near your factory or a/m alarm. Make sure your connections are soldered to avoid shorts to the ecu and don't put the switch someplace obvious with a big tag that says kill switch.

Easy money.

i would recommend wiring a kill switch either to the positive wire going to your starter, or to the fuel pump. i had one on a dodge of mine, and i put it in the glove box in a place where you didn't know it was there unless you felt for it, plus, i can lock the glove box.

another thing that i saw someone do that was pretty smart was wire their starter into their cigarette lighter. that way, the car would not start unless you pushed in the cig lighter. pretty smart if you ask me.

using the cig lighter or radio is too common to a thief..dont put the switch under the steering wheel either, everyone does that..

id tell u where mine was when i had it but its too genius, not even my alarm installer could find it, lol, but the connection was crappy and i stopped using it so i just took it out =P

just get a really really good viper or python alarm

My old trick is to use a oem switch something your car is missing.Or a switch in the ashtray or console is another good place. But get the best insurance you can afford nothing stops a tow truck.
