Default X-Pipe Interchange

So here is my problem, I have a 1997 Mustang GT with an automatic. It has an aftermarket catted x-pipe but the cat on the passenger side and part of the down tube got smashed bad. I need to replace that part some how. I have the stock pipes but I really hate to put them back on. I also have a hi flow catted x-pipe off a 99-04 GT stick shift. Im wondering if some how i can put that whole mid pipe section on my car. I cross referenced all the parts and they say that the pipes are not interchangable. What is the difference in the pipes. I cannot get any local shops to touch it, all they want to do is install theyre brand new parts for over $500. I'm thinking about just buying an o/r x-pipe and just clamping in the cats that I have off of the 99-04 system. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Trevor

So a few weeks ago I tried to mount that x-pipe. They are close but the left side flange is too small and the pipes spread out too wide and go down too far. Dont waste your time trying this.
