ive heard of ppl buying nitto DRs used....is this true because i have a set of 315s with barely tread in the center but tread on the outside...do ppl actually buy them?

Absolutely! My buddy bought a set with around 8k (they were pretty bald in the center too) and they hook just as good as my newer ones to be honest. He'll probably get another season or two out of them.

Sounds like you have been running them a bit over-inflated.

As for people buying used tires, I have not, but have recommended it to a few that have come into the Tires/Wheels section with links to ones for sale. I have seen some pepes get some good deals on used treads by folks who had a change of wheel and tires wont fit them.

used tires are awesome...i know a guy here who uses the same tire i will be running on my car...whenever he gets a new set, i swing by and pick up his old ones free....costs me $24 to have them mounted and balanced, and i should be able to get atleast 2 good track days out of them...beats $210 per tire for sure...and by track days, i mean 10+ passes each time i go...only go to private rentals, so its as many passes as you feel like making
