Who needs Vtec when we have 3v's.

Yes, yes its. As a rule, a simpler machine is more reliable... go ahead and argue about that until your blue in the face. The rotary design is sound (although until recently unreliable), most of its problems were material and use oriented... but bringing up stupid childish secondary arguments is just a waste of time... has nothing to do with 2v vs. 4v.

However since you commented on reliability... here is an interesting tid bit Professor...
"In addition to the removal of internal reciprocating stresses by virtue of the complete removal of its reciprocating internal parts typically found in a piston engine, the engine is constructed with an iron rotor within a housing made of aluminum, which has a greater coefficient of thermal expansion. This ensures that even a severely overheated Wankel engine cannot seize, as would likely occur in an overheated piston engine. This is a substantial safety benefit in aircraft use since no valves can burn out."

As for my experience, I have two friends with cobras one a 97 and one and 03 both have had valvetrain problems, but all you have to do look at the incidence of 4v problems compared to 2v, its not rocket science.
nice rotary wikipedia quote, but it doesn't support your argument. all it states is that a rotary might have more resistance to damage on an overheated motor. you have failed hard at trying to explain anything "professor".

Haha wow...this got crazy. I LOVE LSx motors, but i couldn't put one in a mustang, it just wouldn't feel right. But id go out tomorrow and pick up a T/A if i had the money. Lol its a wierd love.
I love my lil 2v though, its pretty stout for what it is. Im happy with it.

oh boy i'm about to get burned on the cross with Fobra. Well He has a valid point less parts less things to go wrong and theoretically less maintenance. Mazda's wankel engine did get banned from 24 Lemans racing lol. I cant remember its red line but it was something ridiculous like 14K RPM. You just got to give credit where credit is due I mean a 1.3L engine putting out serious power is pretty unbelievable. Also they were able to run the damn engine on hydrogen with basically no changes.

Its definately different, which is cool in my book. I also appreciate Subaru/Porsche and their flat engines but thats just me.

Don't get me wrong I still love mustangs and their V8's 2V 3V 4V 3563213456V regardless they are pretty simple to work on and sound really nice when you get on them.

I already did my share by starting the rotary talk and how my 4v breaks down all the time and mustangs are garbage in general lol. A bunch of Ethungs and Internet Tuners on this site and in this thread.
