Default 4.10's lowered the mileage

I switched to 4.10's this summer and I noticed a drop in mileage, but it is definitely due to the pedal to the floor thing. I got used to driving pretty conservatively with the 2.73's, so with the change, I'm all over it. I'm getting 16 mpg, but not much highway driving. I gotta say it is a great deal more fun with the 4.10's gas mileage or not.

I have 4.10s, and full bolt ons and got a steady 24mpg on a trip to the coast a few weeks ago. Thats going 80 the whole way with mixed city/hw...AND a t45 tranny(turns more rpm than a t3650 in 5th).

You dont need a speedo gear, you need a tuner or speed cal.

I got the 4.10s and I wouldnt go any lower. Gas mileage wasnt really an issue. You do burn more but its barely noticable if you drive the same as you did before. And the speedo gear may be cheaper but you do need the tuner and youll be glad you got it once you tune that beast

20mpg vs 22mpg driving 10,000 miles per year and $3 gas is $135 a year in extra fuel costs. so not really a big deal even if you did get 2mpg less.
