Yes

If you doing it go with Trans-GO. It'll help. I wont show gains like gears or getting your car tuned but i'd HIGHLY recommend it for ALL auto owners.

Dude your pushing this thing like coke on the streets of Detroit. Stop bumping old *** threads for this crap. Theres a section for selling/purchasing things learn a little forum etiquette.

For anybody who cares about the truth you DO NOT need to buy a "shift kit." Most shift kits include the only modification you need to do to your 4r70w to get both much better AND safer performance. The only mod you need to do to your tranny is something called a "J-MOD" which most "shift kits" include. "Shift kits" however often go farther than that and call for modifications that provide extremely neglegable and dangerous modifications effecting the life and durability of your transmission. The "J-MOD" is a modification to the Main Control/Valve Body of your transmission which includes porting out ATF flow holes and removing accumulator springs. This "J-MOD" is named so after the Ford Transmission Engineer that designed this modification. His name is Jerry Wroblewski and he has a full writeup on the 4r70w that covers absolutely everything about this transmission from top to bottom.

Here is a link to Jerry Wroblewski's full write-up.

Heres a direct quote from section 5 of Jerry Wroblewski's write-up.

"A lot of shift kits put a blocker ring in the 2-3 accumulators. This limits the amount of travel for the accumulator. And yes, it does result in firmer shifts. But don't do this. What is happening is this; if you remember the accumulator explanation from before, it allows a slower pressure rise in the clutch as it is applying. This accumulator stroke limiter forces the clutch to go in line pressure faster, but the way it does that is by stopping the accumulator from stroking thus ending the ramp. When you allow a shift to finish, meaning the clutch stops, when the accumulator stops stroking it puts a large shock load into the transmission and driveline which will result in eventual failure of something."

For another clearly obvious reason you should not install a "shift kit" on your transmission refer to the last paragraph on the page of section 5 regarding bypassing the main regulatory priority system.
