Default Anybody here with sequentials?

There are so many different kits out there that i have no idea which kit i want. Some places have "slow rate" kits and others just have regular kits. Does anybody know what each one looks like?

or better yet, does anybody personally have sequentials from a given company that they have a video of or can post a video of?

I have home made one's. A buddy of mine helped make them, they cost a little less then if you buy them after all the pieces and I had to buy a 2 2way bulbs and sockets to you can use the inner light. I don't have a video of them installed but what we did was use an adjustable resistor so you could increase or decrease time between each light flashing.

We used a simple 555 chip

edit:
here is a picture of it, this was a practice one I made with test resistors

looks iffy, but if it works, sweet! CDCs $230 price tag is ridiculous.

Wow stangalator - props to you for being able to do something like that!!

i mean i'll splice some wires and such, but i can't do what you just did haha

Anyways - ebay has some splice in ones for $50 shipped lifetime warranty... for a xmas gift, i really cant complain. i like to stand out. this is one of those things that makes me a little different (at least in my town)

plus i think they look sick!!!

but i agree in the sense that there is NO SHOT of me paying anything over $100

i got mine off ebay a few years ago. can't remember the name of the seller, but they're still working fine, and they sync up perfectly. i got the cut and splice kind because i was comfortable doing the work, but they also sold a kit with the sockets. they have instructions on how to convert your existing 1 way socket (your inner of the 3 bulbs) to a 2 way. you already have a 2 way bulb in the socket not really being used. i think mine were about $60.

I got some SWEET ones that this guy makes from his home. But its an extremely well set up kit no lose wires or anything. And has very simple instructions to install. Iv had mine in for 2 years with no problems at all. Best of all they come with 3 settings Factory, Sequential, and Chase. so you can change it to factory just by flipping a switch. And the chase looks BAD ***. check out this sight youll love them. http://www.meter4it.com/ hes got videos of every setting. I use chase. Plus hes got a warranty. so no need to worry about them either.
