Default looking to buy a stang!

hey guys, ive been a import guy since ive been driving (now 20 and i own a 350z and a 11.1 1.6L civic :P) and ive been really craving a mustang latly... ive loved them ever since my cousin bought a 01 v6 and im the only one out of 26 cousins to go import. imports are known to "last forever"(i understand its how you take care of the car) but if i go out and buy a 99-04 mustang GT with like 75k, am i at high prone for the engine going to ****? my understanding is 100k~ is the lifetime of the 4.6 GT. my car will be stock minus intake/exhaust and maybe a tune. i just dont want to spend 9k for a car that will last me a year :/
Dont hate me cause im import! i want to go domestic :x

Good luck with the drive.

I bet the V6 stangs also can run well beyond 100k. It is all in how the engine is taken care of. I think there are several examples of mustangs on this site (in both V6 and V8 trims) that have over 100k.

For 9000 bucks you should be able to get a stang with less then 75k on it... i recently bought a 02 with 60k miles for about 8500 i think it was in perfect condition and it came with all the after market parts below besides the rims and tints. Take your time and look around... but either way if the engine has been taking care of you will easily be able to get over 100k on it

Bought mine as my first car almost 2 years ago with 78000mi on it and just a flowmaster catback for $6500 it was owned by a woman so it was spotless. I just went over 114000. Yeah i drive a lot haha. Besides basic matinence nothing major was required. I know at least 10 people with stangs over 100,000. No problems. I had numerous people ask me if it was the 4.6 motor and they said that itll last well over 200,000. So basically yes join the club and get a stang haha. You wont regret it!

100K, are you joking, any engine will last well beyond 200K with proper maintence, and neither the Mustang 3.8L V6 or the 4.6L V8 is excluded. Both can go well into 200 range with proper care. Now small things may go out, that's normal, but the block itself will be fine. Now start going crazy and performing a lot of mods, going f/i, ect, and yea, the blocks life will be reduced.
