Default ford lighting MAF

Can I use the lighting Mass air sensor on my supercharger set-up for my 02 mustang, because the supercharger didn't come with the mass air sensor?

If I can, do it have to do recalibration to it? Am using 42lbs injectors.

Yes and no. Yes you can use a LMaf. The maf isn't getting "Calibrated" to the injectors, the ECU is. So if your ECU is tuned for 42's then your good. If it's not, "i.e. your still running stock injectors" then you'll need a tune.

From my understanding you at least want a 90mm Lightning MAF with a blower setup. From what I have read using the stock MAF will limit you alot.

If you're changing your maf and injectors you'll need a base tune or the car wont run enough to drive.

If you can't do that, then you can keep the stock injectors and Maf in place AS LONG AS YOU ONLY IDLE AND PUTT THE CAR WHILE YOU DRIVE. NO BOOST AT ALL!!! That'll get you as far as you need to go.

Is there a programer for 2V supercharger mustangs or is dyno tune the only way to go?

Sure, Delta Force Tuning Commando.

A "dyno" tune is just paying someone to use a tool like Commando, and a dynamometer, to do what you can learn to do yourself. It's what people that don't know how to tune an engine do, and then brag about--it's like having someone else screw your girlfriend, and then you go around bragging about how good she was.

You can do the same thing, better, with a proper tuning tool, a wideband O2 sensors, and a stopwatch on deserted stretch of road--plus you will then have the knowledge base to dial in tunes for specific conditions.

If "dyno" tunes were perfect the pros would never have to tweak tunes between runs, lane changes, and morning/afternoon/evening...

I have started putting together the $1500 package for the vortech and I know I can throw in 42 lb injectors and Sniper has a built in option for them. I saw there was also an option for the 90mm MAF so I am wondering if I can use the 90mm MAF with my stock air intake until I get the kit built? Mre air flow should help with the cams once they are installed anyways
