Default Cam Help and Recomendations?

Hey guys I'm doing the full P.I head and intake swap on my 98GT and I want to upgrade the cams. I'm going to run a 3.73 gear but the car is still going to be a daily spring/summer driver. Still want it to have a little bit of ***** tho because it will go to the track a little bit. Also doing headers and an x pipe to open it up a bit. Any recomendations? Trying not to get crazy with it because I am a poor collage student . I was looking at a Comp Cams 102200. Whats everyone think?

Welcome to the forums! There are severeal good options. How do you want the cams to perform? Are you willing to change springs? Are you looking for cams that are stronger up top with a loss down low, or perform better in the stock rpm range?

IMO, Hitech, CMS, and Bullet Racing make some of the better ones.

Like sxynerd said CMS stage 1's would be good. The ones i'm looking at from Bullet Racing are very similar to the CMS stage 1's with a tad more intake duration and lift. Hitech stage 2's are awesome as well.

Sweet thanks. Also, I noticed the rpm range on those cams is up near 2500 to start. Am I going to have a problem running the stock P.I. intake? BTW I have an intake laying aroing around and it does have the aluminum crossover, how can I tell if it is P.I? I dont remember what it came off of.
