SC question

the short block will handle 900 hp so the shortblock will handle plenty of power, and thats pretty much why im doing the supercharger, holds good value and relitivly cheep, and the built short block muight put down 300hp if i went all out and id be waiting like 2 years for the turbos, or i dont fully build it and slap a super charger on it get 400rwhpish, and then wait 2 years lol. i like power.

Buy the blower now.
Save for a forged shortblock. Drop 'er in.
Pick up a smaller pulley, maybe an overdriven crank pulley.
Cams, TB/plenum, intake manifold. Keep the exhaust logs!
If you're spinning that blower past it's useful adiabatic efficiency, then you should consider the swap to turbo.
Don't forget though, you're gonna need a new clutch for that power, a new transmission, new rear end, driveline, etc etc. It's relatively easy to get big power, it's very tough to stop from breaking literally everything.
Fuel system becomes a concern that high in power, too. 60-70lb injectors start having problems at low pulse widths around idle, and you'll idle rich with no way to tune that out, unless you set a higher idle. You'll need dual pumps, maybe more. Finding a good MAF setup above 600-700 becomes a problem too. Then again, 700 RWHP is 800+ at the crank, so that's pushing the shortblock again.
Just things to consider 400 RWHP is cheap and easy, but it really starts to break the bank past that, and gets uglier past 600.

I think he already has the shortblock so the supercharger will be on top of that which he already has and i think he has a T56 tranny too. Or didnt you go through with that stuff earlier this year when you were going through that whole fiasco???

lol, yea about that, so i got a little over excited when i started getting enough money to fix stuff, so first thing i did was go out and rebuild rear end, i now have carbon fiber clutchs and 3.90s and all new bearings, still 28 spline but that will be fine unless i put on slicks or somthing. then i did buy the tranny i have a rebuit t-56 sitting on the floor, but then i spun a bearing in the motor, so i decided not to spit out the rest of the money for the tranny swap, so that i could save for the motor in case it blew, since i DD. But with some of the motor money *tear* i bought a DD car that i am putting together right now with a new motor and a bunch of other crap. So now i only have 3k to spend with 1k left for the tranny swap and 4500ish for the motor and 2500ish for the sc lol. so ill be parking it for a while. But no worries ill have a stage 2 clutch with new tranny and rear end along with a built short block. And for now 42# injectors will do fine for what ill have for a while. I was wondering when idle became a problem but 60#injectors are dam big lol, so small sacrifice for earth moving HP and TQ
