Default Which Headers

Which Headers should i buy. I have a 04gt with the roush racing exhaust already installed. I also want to use Cats to. I was told long tube headers would get hot on long trips. I want something that will work for daily driver.

Any suggestions.

Welcome! There are plenty of options. Kooks and ARH are at the top of the heap in general, but they will cost you. BBK, MAC, SLP, and Pypes make good headers if you're on a budget. You will also need a matching shorty mid pipe to fit the long tubes.

Long tubes will not get hot on long trips. At least not to a point that's overbearing or anything. They are perfectly fine for daily driving.

Use the search function in this section and you will find amble amount of info. Has been covered a million times.

I love my Mac LTs. Any headers are going to get hot on long trips, that's just how it works.

If you can afford it, buy Kooks. If not Mac's are a good quality at a cheap price. I paid 488 for mine with the H pipe.

Shorties are in no way worth it, period

I made just as much power as everyone else with stock manifolds and you don't need anything better at least until the engine is fully built.

I'm thinking of BBk long tubes and a BBK new cated X-pipe. The guy that use to have the car had straight pipes put on it from the exhaust manifolds back. So with the roush side exhaust kit its loud!!!!!!!!!!!!.

So, there is no cross over piece or cats right now? Just straight pipes for the mid pipe?
