No, you're not missing anything. In fact (if i remember right) Nick recommends the stage 1's more often. They seem to be better overall.

fox lake is $900 and that includes the valve job too for a stage 2. look into that.

Depending on how much power you are going to be wanting to make, stock heads or stage 1 will be "good" for a lot of power. Lizzy is using stock heads and cams and making 432rwhp and I wouldn't be surprised if you could get more out of them.

You can get a lot of power out of stock heads. If you use different cams, you can get plenty of power out of them. But if you want the best out of your car, you need p/p or tf heads.
