Default Anyone used MMR port and polish head option?

just like the title says, they offer to port and polish your factory heads from 550 to 750 bucks. seems like a better deal than buying brand new ones? opinions?

If I were you, I would get a hold of Nick at Modular Head Shop about P&P. His site has prices and they are cheaper than what you listed above especially if you send your heads in.

If you are P&P the heads, you are getting new cams, right?

i dont know where you come up with cheeper? its 750 for stage one, or 1050 for stage 2 with your own heads? im sure the PandP is better but a stage 3 from MMR is only 750, probebly flows similar to the stage 2 from mhs, although they may not include valves and such, havnt emailed them yet to find out exactally what they do. and yea cams if funds support it.

Here is the link to Modular Head Shop where it shows how much there head work cost.

I don't know if it involves machining off the valves but I would do that if you do get your heads P&P'd. This is why you should do it. Valve on the left if the stock PI and the one on the right is an aftermarket. This will let you buy a more aggressive cam when time comes to upgrade.

I'm guessing those prices are per cylinder head right?

If you go over to the forums at the Corral, Modular Depot, and Modular Fords, you'll see people running the MHS heads.

All the reviews of his stuff are very good.

i beleive it, although i looked at their flow charts, and honestly stage one seems better than stage two...as far as money VS power, i mean i know that they will have a little more power up topwith the stage 2, but im impressed with how well the stage one flows from the start and stays getting better and better where the stage 2 kinda sits even with stage one till halfway through the test then only seems to out flow it by about 10 to 15 cfm. maybe im missing somthing about how much power that acctually is?
