please help 3.8 to dohc 4.6 swap

Default please help 3.8 to dohc 4.6 swap

hey everyone ive been a big fan of mustangs since i was just a kid and finally was able to get one of my own a 95 with a blown up 3.8and a 5 speed well i just picked up a 4.6 dohc out of a lincoln mark 8 and am planning to put it in the mustang i was wondering what i need for electronics from the old car to fit it into the mustang also will the dohc motor bolt up to 5 speed that was behind the 3.8 or will i need a new tranny also if anyone knows of anything else that i might need to do this swap thanks for the help

Shoulda just got a gt from the get go... it wouldve probably ended up saving u time and money... but good luck!

Lol, most of the members on this forum are on that forum. Besides, it directly addressed his needs, which is what we are supposed to do.

Why get a Modular? Just drop in a 302 or 351. Sooo much easier and you can use your existing Kmember.

How would that save him money if he's gonna swap out anyways? Payin an extra 5 grand for a body seems steep right?

well the thing is i got the car for 400 bucks so it was to good of a deal and the engine foranother 200
