I think the OP will be just fine for jumping from 190rwhp to over 300rwhp. lol but DAMN!!! I think im jealous now cus thats the kit that i want. And if he wants more power, look at turbo cams and then possibly a PI swap...just watch the compression and at that point youre probably looking at buying a new bottom end soon cus with stock compression at 8lbs, hellion saw 430rwhp and like 480rwtq on an 02 PI car...so you'd be higher at 8lbs and higher compression so watch out for detonation. But you are a luck SOB my friend. Hellion turbo kits are amazing. Nice choice.

my car is making over 500whp on 10psi. the kit will have no problem getting a non pi car to 400whp

honestly, i just dont see it happening. I am on 7 different mustang forums, and am a HUGE non pi guys. I have yet to see a bone stock 96-98 gt slap a turbo on and max the bottom end out at 450rwhp, or even close to that. just sharing my experience. hell, i had tonnnssss of money in my blower setup and only saw 400rwhp at 14psi. The stock cams/manifold are just so restrictive

ohhh, now that i agree with. as i said earlier, his car will feel like a beast going from a bone stock non pi motor to a 300+rwhp car. But no way will he max that motor out with just a hellion kit unless he runs rediculous boost which will blow that motor

If he is keeping boost at 10lbs, he should be somewhere around 330rwhp i'd say. When a PI car makes 430rwhp at 8lbs, a non-pi car shouldnt be over 100rwhp shy with another 2lbs. But thats what people dont really get about turbo cars. You dont need the boltons like every other way of making power. Sure a TB/Plenum might help a little bit. But you cant do full exhaust(midpipe) like you suggested...and you dont wanna do underdrive pulleys or higher rear gears because the extra load helps spool the turbo. So OP will probably be very happy with the power of his new car after the turbo kit. It might not be bottom end blowing power but it certainly will be a performer.

yes, i agree. but when false information starts going around, people are going to think that they can buy a turbo kit, slap it on a bone stock non pi gt, and have a 425-450rwhp animal....that just wont happen

and i definately feel that a good 100hp can be had out of a non pi to pi swap setup. for proof, i picked up 40rwhp/30tq just from swapping manifolds on my blower setup. heads/cams swap will net you near 60hp out of a f/i setup

I think OP will have a solid 350rwhp car @ 10lbs and will be happy with it...then if he wants to, just swap to turbo cams and an aftermarket intake manifold for the PI cars and he should jump in power, if i understand you right about the intake swap and then head/cam swap.
