Does paying off shops really work? I have a 96gt that i put my stock pipe on when its inspection time but i am about to also buy a 2002gt with long tubes and o/r h pipe. I live in missouri and the last time i brought my 96 to the shop 2yrs ago for the safety inspection they failed me because they could see that i had no cats even though i already did my emissions which i had passed.

You might have some shops around that aren't too strict about things like this as long as your CEL is off.

Bribing a shop that would fail your inspection doesn't seem like it would work.

Glackens in Dittmer is known to do it, not guaranteeing anything...but dont say anything making it obvious, just pay them and they will pass it. They usually don't even check.
