how do you put in the Speedometer Recalibration gears?

how do you put in the Speedometer Recalibration gears?
i have 3:73 gears and am wanting to put in the correcting gears for it, but im wondering how hard it is to put them in, how to, and what is needed?

Never seen those before but it sounds like it's time for you to buy a handheld tuner. More expensive but a great addition.

Agreed... a handheld tuner is something you will probably want in the future anyways so why not get it now???

ive heard for the pre 99's that they wont correct the speed. or at least not very well

Is a hand held tuner going to fix a mechanical speedo? Because IIRC all mustangs before the 1999's do not have electronic speedometers.
OP, replacing the speedo gear should be pretty simple. I don't remember ever hearing about it being a real pain in the ***.

According to my SCT owners manual, you can adjust for axle ratio (and a bunch of other things) on 96-04 4.6L Mustangs. A SCT should work and I imagine others are similar.
