Nope CMS said it wouldn't be needed unless I wanted extra insurance. We slowly rotated to motor several times to check for any interference. Eerything feels and sounds smooth as stock. Getting the followers back on was a little more tricky with the difference in the lobes on the cms cams vs. the stockers but once we figured out the trick they popped in like butter. Now just got to figure out how to take off the front cover without removing unneeded crap.

Don't think it's going to be to bad. Some people say remove the cooling fan and all that crap and others say to remove half the amount of stuff. Guess I will figure it out. Do you guys think I can remove the driver side chain guide WITHOUT removing the timing chain? In pictures it looks like two bolts hold it and then it should slide out from behind there and has small clips on the bottom where it hooks on the motor....

No it is not necessary to take off the cooling fan and yes you can remove it without taking off the chain there are 2 small bolts that hold it on and a pin that comes out of the block that slides in a hole on the guide if i remember right but y not just go ahead and reset up the timing just to make sure it is right on or degree them if you have the equipment and the time (i wish i would have because im missing around 20 rwhp after my cam install/tune and have no clue where it is....lol)
