Default cobra rim tire setups please help

Ok so I have looked and nitto doesn't make a 275/40/17 invo which sucks they have a nt05 in that size but almost 222 a pop! So I want to know if anyone has put 245/40/17 on a 17x9 rim how it would look or if it is stretched. I bought the car with these rims on them but i know they came stock on some cobras and on tire rack they say standard was 245 but optional 275 in the rear so please anyone that has done this please send pics or let me know how it came out.

A 245/30/17 on a 17x9 wheels will have no problems. You could fit a 275 on that wheel easily. I would only put the 245s up front and find 275s for the back.

Id go with 275's all around so you can rotate them for more even wear. Consult link below for more accurate tire prices...

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=275

NT05's for $171 a tire. Nitto NT555's for $149 a tire. Both 275/40-17's. I had the NT555's. they are a good street tire. NT05's if you want them to stick a little bit more and handle better.

mk well the reason i wanted the invos is cause they do outstanding in all weather conditions even in the cold so I guess my question is should i go for the nt05 275 or the invo 245 if the invos are gna stretch then i dont want them cause that will look horrible. But I don't want the nt05 if they are only good in the summer i need all year round

They are gonna stretch. I have 18" 03 cobra wheels on my car. The front tires are 265 wide and they arent as wide as i'd like them. So my vote goes to the NT05's at 275 width. But also, ive had nitto NT555's through winter...without traction control and they dont do bad at all. Just throwing that out there.

He wants a street tire...not a drag radial or competition oriented tire. Which both the NT555R and the NT555RII are.
