Longtubes?

do i have to lift my motor out in order to install longtube headers?

You dont HAVE to...but it would be recommended that you drop the k member to do the longtube install. Just saying. I wouldnt lift the motor out. That be kinda not smart. Cus then you would have to figure out how to get it back down in the hole with the longtubes and run the chance of banging up stuff.

I always have heard that u should lift the motor but im sure there is a way u can install them without lifting it...

You may have to jack up the passenger side a few inches, but no you won't have to lift it completely out.

i thought it would be better to do it by dropping the motor/k member rather than lifting the motor out???

When I installed my LTs, dropping the K member and raising or lowering the motor a few inches made it a very easy install.

Hell, i did a motor/tranny swap in my car with a lift in less than 4 and a half hours. I'll just drop the whole thing and put it back together again after install if i ever do LT's. lol

I dropped the k-member and then dropped the motor about 6 to 10 iches. Made it pretty easy to get to.

I prolly dropped it about 6 iches lower than this and didnt have to disconect anything.
