i just got a used 1998 mustang GT. it has some problems?? driving down the it jumps like a miss, then stopping at a light it drops in rpm and idles between 1000rpm-500rpm, an sometimes dies.

i have replaced plugs, mass air senser,and throtle reposition senser..

i can put my foot on the break and it drops in rpm??? what would cause that?? someone please help?????

Have you also cleaned out the throttle body? Have you replace the fuel filter?

the fuel filter is going on in the morning, i have not cleaned the throttle body, but it will be done also, i will let u know in the morning.. thank u for comming in with help.

No problem, I mean them are the only 2 things left I can think of for now. If I come up with something else I'll post back.

The fuel filter fixed it for me. Im pretty sure it was never changed and i have around 116k on the body so yeah too long to not change that. Also clean the iac as mentioned. How many miles do you have on it? And do you ever run injector cleaner?

IAC valve could be it too. Also, check your coils for your ignition. a bad coil might be the problem also. But i doubt it/hope it isnt. check plug wires also.

i bought an 80$ coil for nothing haha. Its not that trust me. Its probably the fuel filter or iac as stated.

need help guys, i got 3codes comming up 1. p1131 2. po122 tps 3. p1132what r they and how can i find them?
the first thing i changed out on my gt was the mass air flow sensor, i put it on at advance auto and thought it was ok, until i was working on the new plugs and noticed that there was a gap between the maf and the air filter.
i have changed out plugs, airfilter,vaccum hoses,throttle position sensor, fuel filter and will have the right maf. i will be getting new plug wires and accel ignition coil! i want to change gears to 3.55 ans headers?? and a computer or chip or programer i dont know what to do first??
