Default Positive Terminal Coming Loose on Battery

Whats up guys, pretty noobish question but my positive terminal seems to be coming loose even after tightening so i went ahead and just bought new terminals. My question is how exactly do i go about swapping the terminal itself? As you can tell i don't work on cars often and when dealing with the electrics i don't wanna get zapped in the process of doing this. Do i just hack the wire off the old terminal and rewire it or can i just undo the two bolts holding down the wire and put the new terminal and screw it down to the old wire?

Since it's only the positive terminal that needs replacing do i need to undo the negative as well before i start doing anything? Here's a picture as to what my new terminals look like, design wise. This is just a random picture off google.

Just unbolt the old one from the wire and hook the new one up. I would disconnect the negative and pull the battery out, it would royally suck if you dropped a ratchet and it connected the positive and negative side of the battery.

Same thing happened to me. I hit up auto zone and purchased a new set. I took the hard route and cut off the wires connected to the stock terminals, I stripped off the rubber coating and tightened on the new terminals. I really like them they are simple to remove (which needs to be done on almost every install) you may have to pop the hood and tighten the terminals onto the wires a couple times (mine came loose a couple times). If your not looking to get zapped just make sure both terminals are disconnected from the battery that way no power will possibly travel through the lines, I actually took the battery out of the engine bay because I kept dropping the wrench on the battery haha I found the accesories in my car ran alot better with the solid battery connection (including starting the car). I'd recommend also spraying some terminal protection paint to prevent corosion, definently a wise $3 investment. Good luck with everything man hope this helped a little!
