For strictly quarter mile use, tubular front suspension, coilovers on all 4 corners, MM extreme duty lower control arms, some nice adjustable upper control arms with sperical rod ends on all sides. Then i would start looking into the built rear and then the slicks and skinnies just because you need to be able to handle the power before you make it. Things will be a lot easier that way. Also, new tranny will be needed more than likely with the abuse it will be taking. Or just go to a junk yard and find as many t45's as you can and just use a bunch of stock ones for a while. Then when one breaks just take it out and put another one in.

Well with that suspension setup, you'll be good for the power that you could ever make with your car pretty much. That is almost the same setup that Ox was using with 665rwhp and that was working well for him i'd say. Also look into some adjustable struts to go with the rest i mentioned. I dont know how much you would benefit right away from all this suspension because youre not making quite the power to need it all, but why do it multiple times? Do it once and get it over with. In the case of how fast you'll go down the 1/4, your limiting factor will no longer be hooking. Your new limiting factor is the power. You'll be able to use every bit of the power that youre making right now, but you'll want to add more power to take full advantage of the suspension. You'd probably be sitting at a strong mid 13 without a PI upgrade with full suspension and slicks/skinnies. Anyone else???

Yeah, mid 13's with a stock NPI motor, full suspension, and weight reduction sounds reasonable. Full suspension, along with slicks and skinnies should be worth at least 0.5 sec., and the rule of thumb I've always heard about weight reduction is that each 100lbs. is worth 0.1 sec.

100 shot with a good tune should be pretty safe, and should get you into the mid/high 12's no prob with the mods mentioned above. Might even be able to do a 125 shot without breaking anything for a while. And I could be wrong, but I think anything more than 100/125 is just asking for trouble on a stock sb.

well with a stock npi longblock, he should be good to about 400rwhp. So that means that he could spray probably about 125 or even 150 shot and still be fine. I'd limit it to a 125 shot though. But i'd suggest a ported PI head/aftermarket cam combination with the stock pi manifold and then if thats not enough, spray it with like a 75 shot.
