Tuned or what?
Both trannies are crap. They dont hold power at all and they are very heavily overdriven in 5th gear. But like cliffy said, you can break the tires loose in 3rd gear if you try. Ive done it with my car and i even got them to spin a tad when hitting 4th before. And now with 4.10's with my stock wheels with crappy toyo tires, i can spin 4th pretty good if i powershift.
The 3650 is conservatively rated for 360 lbft, and is actually a highly regarded transmission (read more here). Nonetheless you can beat the crap out of anything, and with that and poor maintenance many Mustang components garner undeserved bad reputations.
The T-45 is rated for 300 lbft and was found lacking a bit when the PI modification upped the 4.6L 2V's output. It was replaced in early 2001 by the 3650...

There was a couple different scenarios in that post which is why i asked which one you were talking about. That was in reference to the having 4.10's part of the post. Also, if youre comparing what i did to what youre doing now in the winter time, i spun pretty good all summer long with both the stock wheels with toyo's and 18x9.5 inch wheels with NT555's on the back. But ive done a standing launch with the 4.10's leaving at idle and had my car spinning with the rpms at the rev limiter with the 18" wheels with nittos on them in 3rd gear without powershifting. And that left like 200 feet of marks.
