Default Kenne Bell 2.1 boost+heat=power loss...please help

I am having a problem running a smaller pully on my 2.1 Kenne Bell unit, I am trying to max out the boost for my engine. I ran the car with the 11psi. pully last season, and it went 11.0@125.4 launching the car @2,300 with a 3,500 stall converter (traction issues w/drag radials). I called Kenne Bell after my passes last season, to order a smaller pully and get thier reccomendations for my setup. I put the smaller pully on my 2.1 and ran the car on the dyno again, I made more power down the bottom but dropped off after 3,500rpms. The blower was spinning up so quick with the smaller pully, that it would get heat soaked after 3,500rpms. I was wondering if anybody was having the same problem, and if anyone has tried a Snow methanol kit with the Kenne Bell. I have a kit that I picked up from a friend cheap, but I dont want to install it unless it would really help my situation. I am sure that there is somebody else on the boards, that has run into the same problem that I have.

From what ive read, you wont get the full benefit of the methanol kit unless you put the nozzle after the blower where the air is the hottest. Check out this article to see what i mean...

Very common... you upgrade the blower (it will still happen if you over pulley though), you can upgrade the intercooler or you can run meth/n20

Yes its probably seat soak, or blower overspinning??? Why dont you pulley back up and run a 35shot or so of n2o? It will give you plenty of cooling and probably make just as much or more power than before since you can tune more aggressively than with no cooling. I've also read that Methanol causes corrosion on the blower internals.

^^^Thats why i suggested post-blower nozzles to shoot it into the lower intake manifold below the supercharger.

I really want to upgrade to the 2.8, but was hoping in the meantime to give it a quick fix. The pully I put on was the smallest that Kenne Bell reccomended without over spinning the unit.

Well there are two types of over spinning, 1) being to actually over spin the blower and damage it, the other 2) being to pulley down and take it out of its efficiency range, I dont think any those twin screws are really "meant" to push more than 14 lbs, once you do they require some bandaids.

What PSI are you making now? 11 PSI is nothing for the 2.1, i have seen many 2.1's make 15-17 PSI daily and not have any issues.
From what you have said though, i dont think you are having heat soak issues(that extreme anyway). I dont even think you are overspinning the blower. I think you may have maxed out either the CAI or the blower's intake....
What CAI are you running?
What size pulley? Lower pulley?

Oh, and i hope you have a built motor......
