and this will be 1 of my biggest mods on the car, i will prob never SC or cam it so i want to get as much as i can out of this gear

is it true ford racing doesnt make the 390? some other company? because im told ford racing gears are the best

My 3.90's are made by Motive. Ford Racing makes Motive and/or the other way around. I forget which lol.

Some FRPP gears are made by a US based company (the name escapes me at the moment), and Motive (in Italy). I installed FRPP/Motive 3.73s in my '03 2-1/2 years and 55k miles ago--no noise, no problems of any kind.

The Italians do after all know a thing or two about making high performance cars...

I have a manual and 4.10s. If your doing a lot of highway i would go with the 3.90s. So youll get a happy medium. I went from my years stock 2.73s to 4.10s. It made such a difference.

4.10's here and love them!!! I'd love to feel what they would be like with cams and/or boost with some d/r's. I got 26mpg going back and forth to pittsburgh on the turnpike. So gas mileage is all good. I was getting 26 before and 26 after. But i limit myself to not going over 75mph though. So if youre doing 80, might want slightly higher gears.

I'm thinking of getting 4.10's, i have an auto. I commute to school 3 times a week, 16 miles each way so i'm still on the fence if i should get them or not.
