Default Car for college?

Hey guys...well ill be headin to college next fall and i really don't want to take my car to downtown kansas city and leave it sitting.

So i was thinkin about a DD to take back and fourth to college, that i can stand to drive, and maybe has a little pep in its step.

What do you guys recomend. Budget is around 10k btw since the madre will prob drive it after college.

Ford Probe V6 LOL, I had one before the mustang and I loved it. You can get one very cheap too.

If you want a cheap college beater, I would recommend a Grand Am. Comfortable, great power, great gas mileage, good handling and they are pretty much un-killable. On top of that, they are cheap to buy and insure.

How about an RSX type-s, subaru 2.5 rs/wrx, eclipse gst/gsx, toyota celica gts, scion tC, v6 mustang, v6 camaro, early s2000, supra non-turbo, 300zx, 3000GT, mazda miata(handle amazing and have decent amount of pep), might also want to consider a pickup truck/jeep/suv if youre dd'ing it in the winter. Wranglers are fun stuff...and you get a convertible that you can drive in the summer.
