Default Spring compressor

Hey guys. Where would I find a good spring compressor for when I am going to get lowering springs? Is there a certain brand I should look for, or a certain kind? Was looking around and couldn't find anything that made me super confident it was the right kind of compressor....

Thanks.

You will not need a spring compressor to do the install.

Is it safer? Or no... I've heard it would be safer which is why I was looking... If I heard wrong, then ok!

How is it safer? Because it puts a load on the spring and if something on the compressor went wrong, the spring could possibly slip out and hurt ya??!! lol

But +1, you do not need a compressor. Just some jack stands and a jack.

There is a right up on AM i think. prob one on here somewhere

I'm pretty sure having the spring compressor is safer. Why wouldn't you want to be safe?

Well, I suppose something can wrong either way in all reality, haha. Just seems like it owuld be less likely with a compressor, but I've never done one of these installs! I'll check AM.

I've had my spring in and out of both my old GT and the Cobra more times than I can count without a spring compressor and nothing has ever gone wrong. As long as there is no tension on the spring when removing it then there is nothing to worry about.

If there is tension on the spring how would it come out?? I have been debating installing my springs but don't feel like going to the ER because I didn't know what I was doing. The deductible for the ER is more then the install price.
