Those are both tear-down and rebuild issues, you might want to check around and see what a rebuilt transmission, or a low mileage junkyard unit, will cost.

They are pulling the tranny after they put the normal tune back on. I should be covered under the esp plan. ::: crosses fingers ::: Just disappointed that a tranny only lasted 37k miles...

what would a tranny cooler run and how hard of an install?

i know the police interceptors have them for the wear and tear, doesnt sound like a bad idea

Don't remember exactly, had it done with my gear install. It was definitely under 200 installed though. They arent expensive and I don't think they are that hard to install.

update: Tune is off car, tranny is dropped and it is being repaired.

Total cost for repair, rental loaner car. $100.00
