65 66 mustang fender emblems on gt?
Cant find it in search (ugh) but I want to replace my gt badges on the fenders with the running pony v6er badges. Looking around I found some really cheap brand new ones but says they are for 65-66 mustang fast back and have aligntment pins I think. Just wondering if they will cover all my holes correctly and will I have to remove the pins? I would buy the right ones but these are a steal.

The GT emblems you want to remove shouldn't have any alignment holes (only the Ford emblem on the decklid has holes). The 65-66 emblems you are thinking about should work as long as you trim off their pins. I've thought about doing this, too, but might use 05+ V6 emblems since they're a little larger than the 01-04's which just seem a little too small. Still on the fence about it, though..... What I'd really like is a tri-bar emblem like goes on the fender that'll work on the grille.

when i had a billet grille on my car, i took one of those tri-bar emblems and put it in the middle of the grille and it looked awesome. it did have those little alignment bars, but i just used a grinder to remove them.

you will have a big hole and a little alignment hole on the fender. i took mine off and put on the sixer ponys from a 94-98. the were like 20 bucks from mustangs unlimited. they fit perfect in the hols that are already there
