I'll be taking it to Sunshine Performance. Latemodel had to order my heads and cams. They should be in either thursday for friday and i'll take my car up monday. Won't have it for a week and a half. That's gonna suck.

Teej281, i sure as hell hope not. It's a plus having them in my backyard, but i'd still hate to have to wait. Waiting sucks! With the price of the heads, cams and install, i thought about just buying a using s/c, but I've wanted these heads. It was tough at first b/c i was torn between the TF and heads from Fox Lake. Then after research i decided to go with the TF. This is going to be the longest two weeks of my life.

why did you go with those cams? Why not cams designed for the TF heads? I ask b/c I've seen dyno #'s that we not that great and the excuse is that they didn't have the right cam? Not trying to bust your b@lls, I'm very happy for you, just curious as to how much research you did before choosing that setup?

I was going to say something but i didnt wanna get the op down on cams choice. If you can though, forgo those cams and get some MHS or CMS cams for your car specifically made for the TF heads. And also, why didnt you get the best of both worlds and get fox lake ported TF heads??? lol

You're not busting my ***** and i'm glad you chimed in. What would you have suggested? I went with those because comps were the only thing late model carried. I do most if now all of my business with them.

I shoot from the hip. I'd rather say something now, while he still may be able to change his order then wait for it to get installed and see him pissed b/c he could have had the same power with patriot heads. Some may think me speaking up is being rude, I think me keeping my mouth shut would have been rude.

like mentioned above check out CMS or MHS, or anyone that makes cams specific to the TFS heads. They changed a lot with the heads, you need a cam that can take advantage of those changes. I haven't read much lately on that link I posted. It's like 25 pages, he may say what cam finally worked with it. All I can say is it was a headache for him, whether he wants to admit it or not.

Your car may outperform most with the same setup (b/c it's mineral grey) but you want it to perform its best, right?
