What's the verdict on hood clearance?

What plenums can fit without an aftermarket hood?

Stock style with the adapter plate and then you have a plethora of other edelbrock intake elbows that you can choose from to get the right fit.

Good thing you thought about this before you bought the new intake, eh?

Nothing better than having to upgrade parts on your Mustang though

Not without the adapter plate it wont. Go to MMR's website --> products --> SOHC parts and its the first item on that page. I'd post the link to it but the website in the address bar stays the same the whole time youre on their website. You can also make one yourself like nerd did for his build i think. Not that hard.

This is what Nick posted over on corral about the Edelbrock intake: "The Edelbrock seems to be really good in the 4500-7500 range NA, but any cam targeted for the PI head in this range with this intake needs a piston notch for sure."

With the Eddie intake you will notice a difference in the upper rpms (3500+rpm) but with the statement of Nick's I would be weary about revving it too high.

The dyno graphs I have seen only show the Edelbrock intake starting to make a difference in the 3500-4000+rpm range. But those increases are very good increases.

Congrats! It will definitely be interesting to see the results with those Hitech cams.
