If I have cams by then it will be a drivers race i'd say...but more than likely I wont have cams by then. Not giving up hope but i seriously doubt it. I mean as i sit now, i'd probably be about on par with you power wise with all the mods i have(250rwhp) so with equal gears and equal drivers it'd be you all the way(seeing im carrying an extra 300lbs probably). What are your mods gonna be by mustang week would you say???

If I may ask, what was the price on the SFC install? I gotta shop around cuz no way I am gonna find time to mess with that.

And just save for a blower. I built a $8000 parts list to try and build a N/A Torque Monsta and ended up erasing it and it looked like this:

My Build List

1) Supercharger w/ supporting mods

So yeah...

PM sent BBP. Im actually just going to focus on the first set of mods for right now seeing that the shocks/struts are $530, coilovers for the front are $370 with springs, rear LCA's are $330, and the lightbar is $450, I think that will be enough to go through for right now. Im going to go ahead and get the Koni yellow single adjustables first to take care of that, then move onto the coilovers and lower control arms, and then the lightbar once its top down weather. Im also looking into cervini's speedster covers for when the top is down. Also I might be installing the CF 3" cowl hood that i have in the basement as well. Just working with what i got. Also, some of you might remember the thread i posted a while back about a tb/plenum combo from Dragon...monoblade TB and plenum to mate it to a stock style intake manifold. That is going to be on the list as well.

Prob full bolt ons and 4.10's.maybe a Ported Shortrunner too but i doubt it. Suspension wise i will probably have fox 4cyl springs up front and some control arms.

So Bo, you'll probably be at around 280rwhp or more by mustang week...maybe cams might be a good idea. lol and im going to get an eddie intake and the tb/plenum kit if i get cams. I dont know if im going to be able to swing the cams before mustang week. But ive been thinking about getting the either the cms or mhs stage 2.5's so i dont have to notch my pistons. I'll still get the valves but i just really dont want to notch the pistons cus thats a lot of work to do to stock pistons to make the cams work with the stock longblock.

hopefully atleast 320 since stone629 made 307rwhp with just a midpipe, catback and K&N filter lol. can you run the 2.5's with no ptv issues?

Well im getting new intake valves so I think that should take care of it...hopefully. But it should be ok for the mhs 2.5's but idk about the cushman 2.5's. But i guess it all depends on dynos what numbers you put down. I mean a midpipe, catback and cai on my car made me put down 250rwhp. I didnt think that the tune in the stock cars was that bad that those simple mods would net 50rwhp with a tune. But i guess i was wrong. Looks like i have some ground to cover before mustang week if i wanna keep up with you. lol who knows though...my dad works for a dealership so they might trade in a cobra or mach before mustang week and i'll just buy it and see what i can do with it by the time mustang week rolls around. I kinda like my little 2v though. plus its a vert...cant get a mach in a vert.

I think you guys will be a great race if you do the cams teej. I've raced my buddy's Mach 1 a few times (it has 4.10's and 305 rwhp) and to be honest, he only starts pulling me a tiny bit after a 100 mph.

mrt, do you think i could get away with the stage 2.5 cams with just the ground stock intake valves/aftermarket valves??? Just thought i'd ask while you were in here. or would i have to notch the pistons would you say??? And i dont think that it would honestly be that great of a race...not the best driver, my car weighs more than his, and his upper powerband is gonna kill me. So i'd give the race to him even if i did have cams.
