Default clock spring

Any one have the write up to remove the clock spring in the steering wheel.

1999 Mustang Workshop Manual
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301) and wait at least one minute. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.
  1. Remove the driver air bag module. For additional information, refer to Module—Driver Air Bag in this section.
  1. NOTE: Make sure the wheels (1007) are in the straight-ahead position.
    Remove the steering wheel (3600). For additional information, refer to Section 211-04.
  1. Apply two strips of masking tape across the air bag sliding contact (14A664) to prevent accidental rotation when the air bag sliding contact is removed

  1. NOTE: Place the steering column in the full down tilt position.
    Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
    1. Remove the headlight ****.
    1. Remove the two screws.
    1. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel.
6. Remove the lower instrument panel (I/P) steering column opening cover.
  1. Remove the two bolts.
  1. Pull straight out on the lower I/P steering column opening cover and remove

7. Remove the lower I/P steering column opening cover reinforcement.
  1. Remove the two bolts.
  1. Remove the lower I/P steering column opening cover reinforcement

  1. Remove the lower steering column shroud (3530).
    1. Remove the tilt wheel handle and shank (3F609).
    1. Remove the four screws.
    1. Remove the lower steering column shroud.

  1. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder (11582).
    1. Position the ignition switch lock cylinder to the RUN position.
    1. Using the suitable tool, push upward on the cylinder release tab while pulling the ignition switch lock cylinder outward.

  1. Remove the upper steering column shroud.

  1. Remove the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transmitter.
    1. Remove the PATS transmitter retaining screw.
    1. Position the PATS transmitter out of the way.

  1. Remove the key-in-ignition warning indicator switch.

  1. Disconnect the air bag sliding contact electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the wire harness from the two air bag sliding contact connectors.
    1. Remove the air bag sliding contact wire connectors from the wire connector bracket.

  1. Remove the wire harness from its holders.

  1. Remove the air bag sliding contact.
    1. Pry the air bag sliding contact retaining clips loose.
    1. Remove the air bag sliding contact.

Do you know if I out leave the key in ignition when I put it back together? Cant stand the ding ding when I leave the key in and the door open.
There is a sticky for an online manuel in the tech articles. But when I go to the link it just takes me back to the page with all the links. Do you know if it still works?

Well you should already have the battery disconnected. And reconnecting it should be your last step
