Default New mustang, new to the forums, a couple questions

Hey guys, I just picked up my first 4.6 the other day and I absolutely love it. It's pretty quick for what I remember about mustangs after owning a trans am (just kidding guys). But I had a couple of questions. What is the best short shifter? I was leaning towards hurst but a lot of the sites don't carry it so i figured I would get opinions on what everyone preffered. I'm also looking to order a cobra r hood (the cowl kind not the vented kind) Where would the best place to order that from with the best/fastest shipping? Also does anyone have any experience with the xenon flushmount spoiler for sn95s? If so what are your opinions on it? Look good? Tacky? The only pics I could find were the xenon photos which didn't show very much. Thanks for your help guys and sorry for the long post. Oh here's a pic of my car

Congrats on the new ride and welcome!!

If you want a quality short throw shifter...MGW is the way to go.

Short throw shifter is a matter of preference. I personally love my Pro 5.0 with a tri-axe handle. I have heard nothing but good things about MGW and Tri-Axe also.

MGW FTW...

Hoods and spoilers would not be my 1st mods to a '98, so I'll sit out that discussion..

It seems as if the MGW requires personal adjustment, right? I'm guessing that we have to adjust the orange handle. Sounds good because I like the shifter as close as possible to me. I really want an MGW but I have to buy tires first and go from there

hey cliffy i like that custom shift boot, lets you really see how nice the shifter looks...what are those buttons on the side of the bezel for?

any ways, i love my mgw...its precise, shifts are smooth and quick, obviospusly significantly smaller and theres no play in the shifter really. i used to miss 3rd gear all the time in the stock shifter, now i can only remember once with the mgw and that was more of the scenario because of letting clutch out too soon

I have an after market, non-exploding, steering wheel--those are for the cruise control; top = on/off, middle = set/coast, bottom = resume...
