Default Hooker Headers - Midpipe Options

I just ordered a set of Hooker longtube headers and just got to thinking if they will work with all O/R h pipes since they are a slip fit design. Does anyone know if any brand will work or will I have to buy a Hooker O/R X pipe. The descriptions are pretty misleading and just wanted to clear it up before I buy something that won't work

Funny I saw this post as I was looking at the same hooker headers at the summit site. When I read their install instructions it says you only have to take out the air box and move the steering shaft over. What about the starter and the motor mounts etc..... very vague IMO too.

Let us know how it turns out. They are "tuned" headers. Is there really that much difference between them and than the mac LTs or Pypes LTs?

We'll find out soon enough. I couldn't find a phone number for Hooker and didn't feel like going through Holley to get there so I sent an email a couple days ago and am hoping for a definite answer coming up here in a couple days.

Supposedly, this is a universal H pipe for the slip-fits. I wonder how hard this will be to rig up.

A rep from Hooker also said that this will work:

but when I put that part number on other sites it brings up their X pipe?
