I think you need to do some researching on what it will take. I know the search feature works on this site, although rarely used.

Building up your car RIGHT is going to run you easily $7000 without taking into consideration shipping or installation.

Your going to need a new block, heads, cams, intake, fuel system upgrades, built rearend, sticky tires, suspension work etc etc.

I weighed out my options. When i get a blower, i dont want to be shifting into 5th. I am all about street tires and how fast the car is with street trim. Idc about slicks at this point. At least not yet.

I know the 4.10's would have been nice, but i also didnt want to be at 3000rpms @80mph... And i didn't like the idea of such a short 1st gear and the possible thought of not having enough traction.

3.73's should be perfect for me. I just need a little bit more and i want my 5th gear useful. This will solve it all i hope

I agree with what gearhead said.. It's going to cost you a LOT of money... There are many threads on this kind of stuff. Have you used the search function?

X-haust, gears, kenny bell or vortech mod. Build your tranny & rear to take the abuse first. + full length subframes.....

31 spline Axles, eaton, auburn, detroit, posi-trac unit + gears.. Our 8.8 stockers are good up to a point. I'd worry more about the clutch, tranny for any serious power first.

ok cool thanks for the info on the rear end. any other king of power gains anyone wants to tell me bout like mass air flow, throttle body size, fuel injectors, fuel pump etc.. anything that will just add more power. I want to add cams and heads and some new internals but i want to wait till i have everything to do it at once.
