Default Fobra GT?

Ok, I was on the freeway today and saw what I thought was a nice lowered GT, but once it got next to me I saw a cobra hood and then cobra exhaust, but it had GT badging and a GT front and rear bumper with no spoiler. Is it possible to put cobra exhaust on a GT? Car sounded really nice.

Cobra exhaust? Do you mean like this

If so, then he must have had IRS, which is very much a possibility

Yes just like that, but it did not have the badging, Cobra bumper or spoiler. It acctually looked really good.

Sorry for the dumb question, but was is IRS?

as mentioned, that exhaust WILL NOT fit a normal GT. that exhaust is for an IRS rear end. he probably did an irs swap (lots of cobra guys will trade people for an SRA because IRS is favored for drag racing). having an IRS exhaust and a cobra hood does not make it a fobra either.
