Talking Weld Dragites are on!!!!

Forgive the location and dirtiness of the car....lol Not the best place to take pics of the satang, but I was so excited i had to post one tonight.

FRONTS: 15x7s 3.5"BS running 7/16" Mr. Gasket Spacers (no caliper bracket modification required with the spacers) Tires: 215/65-15

REARS: 15x9s 5.5" BS running 275/50-15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials

No clearance problems, No rubbing. It's close on the back and will probly get the fenders rolled when I can find a shop that does them. Altogether it ran me less than $1000 after doing some serious bargain shopping. Front tires were $133 including shipping from tire rack!! I might just run these year round in CA. I can go through 2 sets of rears for the same price as one set of rear tires on my 18s.

I like the idea of running the wide wheels on the front so you dont have to worry about going into turns. lol looks good man. i like.

so what do you have done? cuz i see cams and nos but an 800hp short block? you doing anything else with it? big and littles are cool, and they make a huge difference. they just dont do it for me on a street car tho, and im to lazy to buy some and change them out when i wanna race lol. Something to think about tho, those rims arent designed for everyday use, they are built light, so they wont hold up to well against potholes and such

Well then he can go to summit and buy their brand ones cheaper and they'll look the same. But i think that he'll be just fine with them on. Just dont drive in the rain.

The 125 shot is just temporary. I sold my Procharger and am saving up for a KB 2.6. Eventually I will be pushing about 20psi on the KB, and if thats not enough....lol.....I might do a small wet shot on top of that. My goal is about 600rwhp. I am taking it in for the rear end probly next week, and the tranny is going to have to wait for a while. It's a work in progress. For now I'll just be happy once I get my nitrous installed, my tune figured out and get some track time.

As for running these rims on the street...people have been running these on the street cars for many many years. It's not like I'm running low profile tires or skinny wheels. I wouldn't want to run 15x4s or 15x3.5s or anything like that on the street. But 15x7s should be fine unless I hit some seriously rough roads on the regular. The fronts aren't drag tires either, they're street tires. With quite a bit of sidewall for plenty of cushion I also don't drive this car nearly everyday anymore. I bought a beater so this year, so she is no longer my DD.

I don't know for sure if I will just run these or trade off with my 18s for the winter or what. But I have already been caught in the rain once running the rears and it was fine on the freeway.

Yeah, I wasn't even considering real skinny wheels. I can still run a fairly skinny tire on the 15x7s and I don't run the risk of turning the front rim into a taco around a sharp corner

You definitely cannot tell that they are 7" wide just by looking at them. They look like skinnies pretty much, just a lot more sturdy. And they are extremely light wheels BTW

Running those rear tires at freeway speeds in the rain is the dumbest decision ever...just throwing that out there.
