How much do you think my car is worth?
I am considering selling and getting something else. Maybe a 2V convertible or even an F body. Anyway, I am not sure how much to ask for it, so that is the point of this thread. Specs:
1996 Mustang GT 248A package. 5 speed. Odometer stopped working at 151,xxx miles, and I have put about 10-15K more on that, so call it 165K miles. I have the 97 Mark VIII Engine swapped in. 60K miles on the engine. Transmission shifts fine, no grinding or any other issues. American muscle short throw shifter and a brand new King Cobra clutch. Everything works on it, windows, locks, mirrors A/C, etc. 17x9 Cobra R wheels with 50% left on the tread.
The only problem is the phantom knock that I have pinned down to the clutch/flywheel area.

Not so much in Texas. I drove 200 miles today round trip to get a bumper cover for my mom's Iroc-z. Pretty routine for me. The closest wal-mart is 20 miles away, one way. 165K is like 80K anywhere else. It's a big state

$3000-3500. Hate to say it, use the $ to buy LS1 motored car. Heads ,gears, x haust, you'll see high 12's or better. I've had both. Love my stang, they look better IMO. Just takes a lil' more to go fast in my Stang..

sn-95s are taking a huge loss in terms of resale value. New edge gts are going for 5-6k for your average car. super clean cars are going for about 8. (this is in San Antonio)
For your car here, I wouldn't pay more than 3k for it. The cash cows are fox bodies.. especially coupes. you cant get a clean 5.0 around here for less than 4-5k. If you want a coupe...fuggetaboutit unless your gonna dish out around 6k. I dont agree with it.. but thats ow it is here.

Yall seem to be about on par with what I was thinking too, $3000-$4000. But after around a month of searching on craigslist, I can't find jack **** that is better than what I have. Essentially, I could trade it straight across for a NPI GT that's bone stock, or for an LT1 camaro that needs work of some kind. In other words, I would be paying for a downgrade.
